The 391st Bomb Group Association (BGA) was created by veteran members of the 391st Bomb Group, a B-26 Marauder group that fought during World War II. Robert L. "Hap" Holliday was born July 28, 1916. After graduating from high school in 1934 he worked as a welder until 1942, all the while taking night school and correspondence courses. In 1942 he joined the Army Air Corps and was part of class 43F (Gulf Coast). Holliday completed his preflight training at San Antonio, Texas; primary flight training at Chickasha, Oklahoma; basic flight training at Enid, Oklahoma; and advanced training at Pampa, Texas.
